New CCTV of Dr Umar Mohammed in Faridabad deepens the Delhi Red Fort blast probe as Pulwama house demolition, NMC licence cancellations, and Valley crackdowns intensify across Kashmir

FARIDABAD – In a significant development in the investigation of the car explosion near the Red Fort that resulted in 13 fatalities, newly released CCTV footage from a shop in Faridabad shows the man identified as the bomber, Dr Umar Mohammed, in the days preceding the blast.

According to the report, “New CCTV footage from Faridabad shop has revealed the movements of ‘bomber’ Dr Umar Mohammed in the days leading up to the Red Fort blast that killed 13 people.”
The video captures the suspect seated in a shop and handing over one of his two mobile phones to the shopkeeper for charging. As the article notes, “The video shows Umar sitting at a shop, giving one of his two mobile phones to a shopkeeper to charge.” A second phone remains with him, signalling that the alleged bomber was using multiple devices during his movements. The report states, “Another phone is seen with him, confirming that the ‘bomber’ was using multiple devices during his escape.”
Observers watching the footage remarked that Umar appeared visibly tense; his body language pointed to nervousness while his phone was being charged. The statement reads: “Observers noted that Umar appeared visibly nervous, with his body language indicating stress during the charging process.” According to law-enforcement officials, Umar had discarded or concealed these mobile phones before arriving in Delhi on 10 November, the day of the car explosion – this explains why no mobile devices were found with him at the blast site. The report clarifies: “Authorities say Umar had disposed of or hidden these phones before entering Delhi on November 10, as he did not possess any mobile devices at the time of the Red Fort car blast.”
The surveillance clip also offers a close-up of Umar’s face – a rare visual of the suspected terrorist – giving investigators key evidence. The narration states: “The CCTV provides a rare close-up of the dreaded terrorist’s face, offering law enforcement valuable visual evidence.”

Pulwama house of alleged bomber demolished in crackdown
In a parallel operation, security forces in the Pulwama district of south Kashmir targeted the residence of the family of Dr Umar Mohammed. Early on Friday morning, they conducted a pre-dawn raid in Koil village, detonating three controlled explosions to bring down the two-storey family home. Authorities evacuated surrounding residences and family members beforehand. The house was razed between 12.30 am and 2.30 am, although some nearby homes reportedly suffered minor damage.
This demolition forms part of a broader action aimed at dismantling terror modules that may be attempting to acquire vehicles or chemical substances for unlawful activities. As part of this sweep, police visited numerous car dealerships, used-car and scrap yards, and chemical outlets across the Valley region. They reviewed transaction logs, Aadhaar identification details and other personal records for both buyers and sellers, in order to detect any diversion towards illicit use.
In the same timeframe, the authorities also attached the residence of Mohd Yaqoob Sheikh of Namblabal, Pampore — a member of the separatist Jammu and Kashmir People’s League who is suspected of being present in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. According to officials, the action was taken after obtaining legal sanction, as part of a sustained effort to choke secessionist networks and prevent activities that threaten national security.
Officials emphasised that these combined steps — dismantling physical infrastructure, checking vehicle and chemical trades, and regulating sales and distribution channels — aim to further regulatory compliance, ensure transparency and prevent misuse of vehicles and chemicals for unlawful ends.

Medical licence of Faridabad terror-module doctors cancelled
In a major move tied to the investigation of the Red Fort car blast, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has cancelled the medical licences of four doctors alleged to have been part of the terror module operating around Faridabad. In its official statement released on Friday, 14 November, the NMC declared:
“In view of the FIR registered under relevant Sections of UAPA, the National Medical Commission has removed names of Dr. Muzaffar Ahmad (Registration No. 14680/2017), Dr. Adeel Ahmad Rather, (Registration No. 15892/2019), Dr. Muzamil Shakeel, (Registration No. 15130/2018) and Dr. Shaheen Saeed (Registration No. 45961/2022) from IMR/NMR, vide orders dated 14.11.2025.”
Thus, the NMC has formally terminated the licences of Dr Muzaffar Ahmad, Dr Adeel Ahmad Rather, Dr Muzamil Shakeel and Dr Shaheen Saeed, all of whom are under charges in connection with the Red Fort blast.
This action effectively bars these individuals from practising medicine or holding any medical appointment in India until further order — a clear response from the regulatory body to allegations of their participation in a terror module.

Context and next steps in the investigation
These developments come amid growing concern of a highly organised terror cell operating under the guise of professional credentials and white-collar identities — targeting prime locations in the national capital. According to news reports, the car involved in the blast was a white Hyundai i20 and entered Delhi via the Badarpur border toll the morning of 10 November, moving across the city for several hours before detonating near the Red Fort’s Metro Station. Forensic teams suggest that an ammonium-nitrate-based device, possibly combined with RDX, triggered the explosion.
With CCTV now showing the suspect at a Faridabad shop, acting with two phones and visible nervousness, investigators believe they have gained valuable insight into the timeline and logistics of the attack. The demolition of the Pulwama house and the crackdown on dealerships and chemical outlets further signal the government’s resolve to trace the full network behind the blast.
The regulatory action by the NMC sends the message that professional licences will not shield individuals from accountability when national security is at stake.
Investigators will now pursue deeper leads: tracing exactly when the mobile phones were used, analysing call data, checking vehicle movements and mapping associations among the doctors and suspect individuals. With multiple angles now open, the next phase of the probe is expected to focus on how the terror module financed, acquired and executed its plan.
Observers say the terror threat from such “white-collar” modules operating in civilian guises may require ongoing vigilance, stronger regulation of sensitive trades and tighter oversight of vehicle and chemical transactions — all measures already underway in several northern states.
