A harrowing road-rage episode on the prominent arterial stretches of Haryana’s Gurugram has come to light after a female motorcyclist named Sia posted video documentation of the ordeal to her social media account, ‘rebelwheels_sia_’, on 13th September. In her public account, she detailed how the driver of an automobile relentlessly pursued and struck her vehicle simply because she asked the motorists inside to maintain a safe gap from her Aprilia RS 457 sports motorbike.

The entire encounter took place along Golf Course Road. Recorded footage of the aftermath shows the motorist engaging in a heated argument with the rider and her riding companions right before he fled the scene.

Female Motorcyclist Sia Urged Driver to Keep Distance; Motorist Struck Her Bike and Fled

Recounting the sequence of events, Sia stated that she was traveling on her Aprilia RS 457 alongside a group of friends, heading down Golf Course Road toward Bikerburns. Right from the initial moments of the journey, an aggressive white automobile began trailing her closely. The men seated inside pulled dangerously near her two-wheeler, gesticulated provocatively with their hands, and behaved with escalating hostility. She stated that the occupants inside the vehicle were visibly inebriated.

“He did some action. I told him to drive a little far, and he told me to stop the bike. And trust me, they all were drunk,” she said.

Describing how the chase unfolded, Sia explained that she deliberately attempted to stay ahead of the car to prevent it from intercepting her trajectory. At the same time, another rider trailing behind attempted to shield her and keep the aggressive white sedan at bay. Despite their efforts, the vehicle continued to chase them down the road. The motorist then steered abruptly in front of her bike, collided with it, threw her off the saddle, and dragged the fallen motorcycle along the tarmac for several metres before speeding into the distance.

Shortly afterward, Sia’s friend managed to intercept the vehicle at a red traffic signal and confronted the motorist. Unaware that the entire sequence had been captured on video, the driver flatly denied striking the two-wheeler and drove away from the intersection.

Concluding her video message, Sia appealed to the public and the biking community for support so that the motorist would not easily escape accountability for causing a hit-and-run collision.

The female motorcyclist raised a broader public alarm regarding road safety, expressing shock over individuals who hit commuters without fear of legal consequences.

“I have nothing to say, but today I felt unsafe on Gurugram roads. People like these aren’t afraid of hitting people and running away,” she wrote on Instagram.

To assist enforcement efforts, Sia made public the registration certificate records of the vehicle involved in the crash. In an appeal urging Gurugram Police to step in, she shared the vehicle registration mark HR30Y4949, which is officially registered under the name of Manish, son of Charan Singh.

While the registered owner of the white car is documented as Manish Singh, reports indicate that the person behind the wheel has been identified as Kalyan Bainsla, an individual who claims to be a professional rugby athlete and runs a fitness gym in Palwal. The police department, however, has not officially verified or confirmed the suspect's identity at this stage.

Official transport records indicate that the car bearing registration number ‘HR30Y4949’ carries two outstanding e-challans totaling Rs 2,000. The earlier fine was logged in February 2023 for failing to follow road-marking rules, whereas the second violation was recorded in December 2025 for illegal parking.

Official Statements From Gurugram Police Department

Law enforcement officials in Gurugram stated that the footage has been brought to their attention and that the circumstances surrounding the collision are currently under verification.

“Police are verifying the exact location of the crash on Golf Course Road with the help of video to the jurisdiction of the police station for necessary legal action,” stated Sandeep Turan, public relations officer for Gurugram Police.

Turan noted that the victim had not yet formally visited the police station to file an official grievance. He emphasized that authorities are actively trying to reach out to her to register a formal First Information Report (FIR).

“Police will try to approach her to take a written complaint to register an FIR for arresting the car driver who hit her,” he said.

In an official statement given to The Hindu, Gurugram East Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sandeep Kumar confirmed that law enforcement has formally initiated suo motu proceedings regarding the incident.

“We are analysing the video and tracing both the accused and the creator/victim. We have not received any formal complaint from the creator, but we are launching a suo motu enquiry and will book a case based on the findings,” Gurugram East DCP Sandeep Kumar told The Hindu.

Meanwhile, widespread public outrage has surfaced across social media platforms, with citizens calling on the police to charge the driver with attempt to murder and demand stringent legal consequences.
