"PM Modi Will Serve The Country & Hindu Dharma For A Long Time," announces Mannargudi Jeeyar, while criticizing the DMK's control over Hindu temples and exposing HR&CE corruption during the Kanchipuram Silks store inauguration in Tamil Nadu

In a compelling statement during a recent press conference, Mannargudi Jeeyar pronounced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a staunch proponent of Hindu dharma, is set to extend his leadership well beyond his current term to further the welfare of the nation.

This assertion came on the sidelines of a notable event—the inauguration of a new private textile shop in Kanchipuram, situated near Salem New Bus Stand. The event was honored by the presence of Mannargudi Sri Chendalankara Sampath Kumara Ramanuja Jeeyar, who ceremoniously cut the ribbon and illuminated the traditional lamp to mark the commencement of the shop's operations.
Following the inaugural ceremony, Jeeyar took a moment to peruse the store’s offerings, particularly noting the exquisite collection of Kanchipuram Silks silk sarees, a highlight of the shop's inventory. This visit not only marked a significant moment for the local business community but also provided a platform for Jeeyar to express his support for Prime Minister Modi's continued governance and dedication to Hindu principles.
Addressing the media later, Mannargudi Sri Ramanuja Jeeyar expressed deep concerns about the control exerted by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department over Hindu temples in Tamil Nadu. He pointed out a stark contrast in the operational freedom between Hindu temples and the religious institutions of other faiths, such as Islam and Christianity, which enjoy more autonomy.

He openly criticized the DMK government for what he perceives as a bias against Hindu interests, arguing that the government professes equality for all religions yet fails to apply these principles uniformly. His critical remarks extended to the broader issue of religious equity and governance. The spiritual leader stressed the urgent need for Hindu temples to gain independence from government oversight, advocating for parity in the treatment of all religious institutions.
Ramanuja Jeeyar’s impassioned statement underscored his position: “If any government has the courage and strength, it should bring restrictions to people of other religions. What do we say ‘we are common to all’ when we say that everyone is one without any kind of caste or religious discrimination, It is a shame to the government that cannot bring (regulation) to a Christian church or a mosque but keeps (regulates) only in Hindu religion. If you have courage you should bring that to church and mosque else everything else should be removed is my opinion.” Through these words, he called for an equitable approach to the regulation of all religious institutions, questioning the selective enforcement of laws that currently favors non-Hindu entities.
Expressing his dissatisfaction with how temple funds and rituals are managed, Mannargudi Sri Ramanuja Jeeyar strongly condemned the alleged corruption permeating the HR&CE department. He articulated his concerns about the misuse and mismanagement that he believes undermine the sanctity and purpose of Hindu temples under current governance.
During his address, Jeeyar lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's unwavering dedication to Hindu dharma, reaffirming his support for Modi's leadership in the future. He emphasized that Modi's principles and actions align closely with the values that he, as a spiritual leader, advocates for the broader Hindu community.
Additionally, the Jeeyar openly accused the DMK government of engaging in anti-Hindu activities, further critiquing their conduct during electoral periods. He highlighted a pattern of behavior where members of the DMK make high-profile temple visits during election campaigns, which he characterized as opportunistic. According to him, such actions are in stark contrast to their usual policies and attitudes, which he claims work against Hindu interests. This discrepancy, he argued, reveals a deeper issue of sincerity and integrity within the current government's approach to Hinduism and its followers.
