"बे-सम्त हवाओं ने हर लहर से साज़िश की": Masquerading as an 'independent journalist', a CJP activist accuses ACP Vivek Bhagat of assault, but explosive footage exposes shocking loopholes around the targeted cop who once survived a brutal mob lynching

On 4th October, the Press Club of India (PCI) officially stepped into the controversy, issuing a formal communication backing Rosy.

CJP Activist Posing as ‘Independent Journalist’ Levels Molestation Charges Against ACP Vivek Bhagat, Who Previously Faced Mob Violence: Critical Discrepancies and Video Evidence Challenge Her Narrative

A fresh wave of controversy has erupted at central Delhi’s prominent demonstration site, Jantar Mantar, where ongoing protests have been organized to demand the immediate resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Amid the heightened tensions, serious allegations of sexual harassment have been leveled against Delhi Police Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Vivek Bhagat.

The accusations have been brought forward by Rosy, a well-known Instagram influencer and committed supporter of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) who has been operating under the guise of an ‘independent journalist.’ Rosy claims that ACP Bhagat molested her on the evening of 3rd October while she was actively covering the detention of All India Students' Association (AISA) activist Neha Bora.

CJP Member Posing as Independent Media Voices Molestation Allegations Against ACP Vivek Bhagat

Rosy, an open CJP sympathizer presenting herself to the public as an unaligned reporter, released a video recorded directly outside the police station detailing her version of the events. She stated that while she was attempting to record footage of leftist activist Neha Bora being taken into police custody, ACP Vivek Bhagat “groped” her, struck her in the chest area, and “squeezed her breast” prior to physically pushing her back.

In that same video, Rosy pointed out that by the evening of 3rd October, she had already spent more than three continuous hours waiting inside the Parliament Street police station without seeing a formal First Information Report (FIR) registered against the officer.

Immediately capitalizing on the footage, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke took to X to circulate Rosy’s clip, declaring assertively that ACP Vivek Bhagat “must be arrested immediately!”

Continuing his social media campaign on 3rd October, Dipke posted an additional statement framing ACP Bhagat as “Amit Shah’s blue-eyed boy” and directly questioning the supervisory officers on duty. He wrote:

“Just got a call from a female ind journalist. She said ACP Vivek Bhagat misbehaved with her & touched her inappropriately. She tried to file a complaint, the police refused it. Why is the local DCP trying to protect ACP Vivek Bhagat? Is that DCP Sachin Sharma, Amit Shah’s blue-eyed boy?”

Adding to the coordinated escalation, CJP co-convenor Saurav Das publicly branded ACP Vivek Bhagat as an outright “sexual predator” and accused senior ranks of the Delhi Police of intentionally stonewalling legal procedures to shield one of their own. Taking to social media, Das wrote:

“Ratna and I just returned homes after meeting the female victim and the SHO of the Parliament Street Police Station. The Delhi Police is shielding its sexual predator Vivek Bhagat and is refusing to register an FIR. They have requested us for some time to “inquire” into the written complaint and videos. We are not tolerating this. The victim has called upon everyone to join her at 11 AM at the Police Station today. The Cockroach Janta Party extends its complete support to her and will stand by her and every journalist and protester till the end. The FIR is a must.”

Press Club of India Endorses Account of CJP Supporter Rosy Operating as Media, Demands Official Measures

On 4th October, the Press Club of India (PCI) officially stepped into the controversy, issuing a formal communication backing Rosy. The press body recognized her squarely as an ‘independent journalist’ and called upon law enforcement authorities to promptly pursue the formal complaints registered by female media personnel who alleged they were molested during the ground demonstrations.

In its official release, the Press Club of India expressed grave concern, stating:

“The Press Club of India is shocked and dismayed at the Delhi Police’s actions against and treatment of journalists during the protests at Jantar Mantar against the chief election commissioner on Friday and Saturday. A female journalist has alleged that she was molested and groped by an ACP, and spent hours at the Parliament Street police station on Saturday night trying to get an FIR registered. The police has still not acted on her complaint.”

The association further criticized the overall treatment of the press on the ground, emphasizing:

“Journalists from various independent organisations and portals have said that despite carrying their press cards and repeatedly stating that they were from the media, the police behaved violently and aggressively, even detaining some of them along with protesters…The Delhi Police must immediately act on the female journalist’s complaint and ensure that it gives media persons the space to do their jobs without having to face aggression and threats.”

Delhi Police Receives Multiple Grievances, Entrusts Crime Branch with Impartial Investigation

Addressing the growing public discourse on Sunday morning through an official update on X, the Delhi Police confirmed that three distinct complaints alleging sexual harassment had been submitted by female journalists regarding the demonstrations. The department clarified that these matters were being handed over directly to the specialized Crime Branch unit to guarantee an objective, thorough, and neutral probe into all aspects of the confrontation.

In its public communication, the Delhi Police outlined:

“On 03-10-26, during the protest in New Delhi area, while being in law and order situation, allegations of sexual harassment were made by three female journalists against police officers. New Delhi District has received their complaints and the same are transferred to Crime Branch for fair and impartial enquiry.”

While the claims made by Rosy remain under active police scrutiny, internet users and digital observers have begun pointing out stark contradictions between her spoken narrative and the actual on-ground video footage emerging from the site.

Numerous video clips capturing the intense standoff between Rosy, the gathered demonstrators, and the law enforcement team—including ACP Vivek Bhagat himself—have surfaced across multiple platforms. Across all these recorded visual angles, none depict ACP Bhagat initiating inappropriate physical contact with Rosy or any other female demonstrator present.

Conversely, several clips highlight how protesters actively confronted, shoved, and heckled female police personnel performing their lawful duties. When police repeatedly instructed the crowd, including Rosy, to step back to maintain the security cordon, officers resorted to physically moving them back only after the group outright refused to follow standard police orders. Yet, despite comprehensive multi-angle footage failing to corroborate any instance of groping or sexual assault, Rosy immediately began claiming that ACP Vivek Bhagat had squeezed her breast.

Another distinct video shows protesters, with Rosy directly visible among them, physically pushing on-duty female police personnel.

Calling out the party worker operating under the cloak of unbiased media, one user on X pointed out:

“The girl is pushing the Female cops on duty. They provoke people to the limits and when they gets pushed back.. They put serious allegations against you.. That’s their way of Working!! No proofs, Just Shout and Suspend ACP, DCPs.”

This visual disparity leaves significant unanswered questions surrounding the entire encounter. Was Rosy actually in possession of an authorized, accredited government press credential? Why has she continually claimed to be an unaligned independent reporter when her verified online activity firmly roots her inside the organizational structure of the CJP as an anti-BJP influencer? Is the physical heckling and shoving of female police officers permissible under the protection of a ‘protest,’ or simply because an individual is holding a camera, carrying a microphone, and claiming to hold a ‘press card’?

Above all, given that numerous recordings from various vantage points have captured the confrontation between Rosy, the agitators, and the police, why does not a single second of footage corroborate her allegations of ACP Vivek Bhagat groping her? For ideological actors, a press identity card, an unverified media tag, and an ‘independent journalist’ designation appear to serve as an offensive shield—a tool to physically intimidate frontline police officers, manufacture retaliatory sexual harassment accusations when held accountable, and emerge celebrated within sympathetic echo chambers.

ACP Vivek Bhagat Narrowly Escaped Mob Lynching During Previous CJP Agitation in July

This targeted hostility toward ACP Vivek Bhagat is not an isolated event. Earlier this year, during the highly volatile CJP agitations in July, party loyalists were seen actively identifying and profiling police officers stationed on security details. Since that period, ACP Bhagat has remained a persistent target for the so-called ‘student activists.’

During those July agitations, the officer was nearly lynched by an aggressive crowd composed of CJP backers. Documented visual evidence of the incident showed a violent mob surrounding and beating ACP Bhagat, who survived the onslaught only because two individuals managed to intervene and physically shield him from continuous blows.

Describing the brutality of that coordinated ambush in an on-record interview to ANI on 23rd July, ACP Vivek Bhagat recounted:

"Yesterday, I was on duty in sector one zone one which includes the main Jantar Mantar area. I was on duty during the day and I had evening shift as well, so during the evening shift, I was going to report from Regal building which is Connaught Place, via Sansad Marg, at the red light of Tolstoy and Sansad Marg. I had a staff of five or six who were walking ahead and with me was an ACP probationer Rohit and my operator Navneet. So as we were walking ahead, we realized that water bottles were being thrown at the staff in front and hooting and anti-social slogans were being raised against the police. So as soon as our police staff moved back and forth a little there, some of them moved forward to save their lives and one of them was overpowered by the crowd. Blood was coming out of his head. His entire face was covered in blood, so I tried to intervene to rescue him from there. We even brought him a meter or two forward, but the crowd was so huge and violent. They even overpowered me. The crowd was so violent. Police officers were specifically targeted, isolating them and attacking them…"

Organizational Affiliations Confirm Rosy as Dedicated CJP Functionary, Disproving Media Neutrality

Despite continuous assertions from Rosy herself, high-ranking CJP leaders, and allied leftist networks claiming she was merely a neutral observer documenting the demonstration, factual evidence demonstrates that she is an embedded, active CJP worker and loyalist.

Operating an Instagram presence boasting over 61,000 followers, her account is thoroughly dominated by posts directly promoting partisan positions and CJP material. Underscoring her official organizational status, an official post released by the CJP on X on 6th September introduced the party's designated social media apparatus. Rosy was formally designated among the CJP’s designated coverage coordinators—conclusively proving that she is neither an independent observer nor a professional journalist, but an official party vlogger and online promoter.

Her personal devotion to the leadership was on full display shortly after the conclusion of the chaotic July protests, when she shared a tribute celebrating her private interaction with CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke. In an update published on 29th July, she posted:

“Some visits leave you with more than just memories—they leave you with new perspectives. Thank you, Abhijeet Dipke, for the warm hospitality and the inspiring conversation.”

View on Threads

Her partisan activity has been steady throughout recent months. Rosy was intensely engaged in disseminating CJP messaging during the street agitations across June and July related to the NEET paper leak controversy. The self-described independent reporter was also seen openly celebrating Dipke’s return to his native town in late July.

Furthermore, Rosy previously stood in firm solidarity with Nishu Azad, a self-styled social justice activist who drew severe public ire for publishing derogatory statements insulting Hindu deities. Rather than maintaining journalistic distance, Rosy explicitly defended Azad’s objectionable commentary. In return, Nishu Azad has predictably come forward to validate and amplify Rosy’s current charges against the Delhi Police.

Her political integration reaches into broader opposition corridors as well. Earlier this year, Rosy personally participated in Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s public interaction, ‘Chhatron ki Goonj’. This political alignment explains why Congress MP Rahul Gandhi quickly moved to extend public sympathy and backing to her under the banner of defending a ‘Mahila patrakar’.

Ultimately, an examination of Rosy’s public footprint reveals content defined entirely by anti-BJP messaging and the promotion of CJP party lines. While she purports to be an independent crusader dedicated to countering established mainstream media, her work reflects that of a partisan ideological creator. Since the eruption of CJP-led agitations in June, an entire ecosystem of self-proclaimed independent journalists has emerged across social networks. In practice, these creators are partisan influencers who have adopted aggressive anti-establishment stances to gain visibility. Their established pattern involves actively cheering on CJP initiatives, joining the demonstration lines as participants, and simultaneously picking up a recording device to portray themselves as objective reporters. Rather than conducting genuine journalism, these figures operate as coordinated public relations extensions serving specific political entities.
