"उनकी छोरियां उनके छोरों तै कम सैं के": As nine FIRs expose a terrible web of abuse and religious coercion at a TCS Nashik BPO, HR manager Nida Khan is now under severe SIT investigation for allegedly silencing desperate harassment victims

India has been shaken by serious allegations of sexual harassment and exploitation emerging from a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) unit of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Nashik. The situation has escalated quickly, with nine First Information Reports (FIRs) registered so far. Several individuals named in these complaints have already been taken into custody, pointing to the scale and seriousness of the issue.
Among the names that have come into focus is Nida Khan, a Human Resources (HR) manager whose alleged role has drawn significant attention. Initially reported as absconding, there are conflicting accounts regarding her status. Some reports state that she was apprehended on April 10, while others suggest that she may still be on the run. Alongside her, individuals identified as Asif Ansari, Shafi Shaikh, Shahrukh Qureshi, Raza Memon, Danish Sheikh, and Tausif Attar have been arrested in connection with the case.
Nida Khan, believed to be in her 30s, is an alumna of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). At the Nashik BPO facility, she held a managerial position within the HR department. In addition to her core responsibilities, she was also a member of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), a body meant to address workplace grievances and ensure employee safety. Her role required her to enforce the guidelines laid out under the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act. Reports indicate that she was associated with operations in Pune and may have left the company in January. However, the allegations against her have raised concerns, especially given the nature of her responsibilities.
According to investigators, Khan is suspected of failing to escalate complaints brought to her attention. Multiple Hindu women who filed FIRs at the Mumbai Naka and Deolali Camp police stations in Nashik have stated that their repeated complaints were ignored. Some of them have further claimed that they were pressured into staying silent or complying with demands.

The complainants have alleged, “She dismissed their repeated submissions, which consisted of 78 emails and chat messages and did not notify her seniors.” They also pointed out that despite being part of the POSH Committee, she allegedly took no action on these complaints. In response to these accusations, Khan reportedly stated that such incidents are common in the corporate world, a claim that has added to the controversy.
As the investigation progressed, more serious allegations surfaced. Authorities suspect that Khan may have played a role in influencing young Hindu women by making promises of relationships and then introducing them to Islamic customs. According to the probe, these women were encouraged to adopt religious practices and specific ways of dressing. Police teams have conducted searches in Pune, as Khan is believed to have connections there. Her movement between Pune and Nashik is also being closely examined as part of the investigation.
Importantly, Khan has been named in the first official complaint filed by a 23-year-old Dalit Hindu woman. The complaint also names Danish Sheikh and Tausif Attar. The survivor has alleged that between July 2022 and February 2026, the accused made objectionable remarks about Hindu deities, which deeply hurt her religious sentiments. She further stated that Danish Sheikh, who is already married and has two children, allegedly forced her into a physical relationship under the false promise of marriage. Tausif Attar is also accused of making inappropriate advances toward her at the workplace.

Based on these allegations, Khan has been charged with multiple offences, including criminal intimidation, outraging modesty, and acts related to religious coercion. Authorities are also investigating whether these incidents point to a larger pattern of misconduct within the workplace. To ensure a detailed and unbiased inquiry, the Nashik police have formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT).
Several young women, mostly between the ages of 18 and 25, have come forward with similar accounts. They claimed that they were lured by Muslim team leaders with promises of better salaries, promotions, or career opportunities. Over time, they allege they were pressured into sexual relationships, and in some cases, faced blackmail, threats, and even rape. According to their statements, they were also forced to follow certain religious practices such as offering namaz, observing roza, consuming non-vegetarian food, and converting to Islam. The situation came to light after undercover female police officers joined the company to gather evidence and understand the extent of the issue.
The SIT is now closely examining patterns of coercion, digital evidence, and possible financial links associated with the case. Investigators have seized CCTV footage from a resort where one of the alleged incidents took place. Eyewitness accounts suggest that these activities may have been ongoing since 2021, potentially targeting vulnerable Hindu employees. There are also indications that the network may have received financial support from abroad, though this aspect remains under investigation.
As the inquiry continues, the case has raised serious questions about workplace safety, accountability, and the systems meant to protect employees.
