Pakistan and Bangladesh handles push a fake AI video of CM Yogi Adityanath after he speaks out on the killing of Hindus in Bangladesh under the interim Yunus administration, exposing a coordinated attempt to distort facts

On 24th December, a number of social media handles from Pakistan and Bangladesh, including accounts belonging to well-known journalists, began circulating a video with serious allegations against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The video was presented as footage of CM Yogi speaking inside the Assembly, where he was allegedly seen making aggressive and threatening remarks against Bangladesh and Pakistan.

According to the claims attached to the viral clip, CM Yogi had openly threatened to attack Bangladesh, demanded that Bangladesh be merged into “Akhand Bharat”, and even suggested that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should resign if he was unwilling to launch an attack on Bangladesh. Along with this, the video was also used to claim that CM Yogi issued violent threats against Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir.
The video was widely shared across social media platforms and projected as “evidence” that Indian political leaders were openly threatening the sovereignty of Bangladesh. The intent behind circulating the clip appeared to be to create outrage and reinforce the narrative that India harbours expansionist ambitions toward its neighbours.
One such post came from an X user named Jashim, who is based in Bangladesh. While sharing the video, he wrote, “Our biggest weakness as Bengali Muslims is that we don’t even realize how deeply stupid we have become. Look at this ; leaders like Yogi openly stand in parliament and threaten to capture Bangladesh, talking about a so-called “Akhand Bharat” ; yet our Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not even protest. And the Indian bootlicking Bangladeshi media, despite knowing all this, remains completely silent ; as if nothing has happened.”
This post, like many others, helped the video gain traction and fuel anger among viewers who were led to believe the claims without verification.
Notably, the same video was also shared on 24th December by Wajahat Kazmi, a journalist from Pakistan. He has previously worked with major media organisations such as Dawn, Samaa TV, Star News, and has appeared on international platforms including BBC, CNN, and the Huffington Post. Wajahat Kazmi has more than 5.9 lakh followers on X, giving his posts wide reach. His X account is currently withheld in India, and the archived version of his post remains accessible.

Background of the Viral Clip
The timing of the video’s appearance is important. The AI-generated clip began circulating shortly after CM Yogi Adityanath raised concerns about the treatment of Hindus in Bangladesh during proceedings in the Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha. In his speech, CM Yogi specifically referred to the murder of a Dalit Hindu youth in Bangladesh. He also pointed out what he described as selective outrage by opposition leaders, who frequently protest events in Gaza but remain silent when Hindus are targeted in neighbouring Islamic countries.
Following this speech, several Pakistan- and Bangladesh-based social media accounts pushed the fake video as a supposed reaction from CM Yogi. The clip was framed as proof of India’s alleged aggressive and expansionist mindset, even though it did not reflect what was actually said in the Assembly.

Many Pakistan and Bangladesh Handles Push the Claim
The video did not remain limited to a few accounts. Several Pakistani and Bangladeshi social media handles shared the same clip with nearly identical claims, suggesting coordinated dissemination.
In one such post, an X user named Hassan from Pakistan wrote, “Yogi Adityanath has just accused Pakistan of interfering in Bangladesh and issued a direct threat to Field Marshal Asim Munir. The UP CM stated that Akhand Bharat cannot be realized as long as Asim Munir remains in power. More reasons to love and support the Field Marshal.”
Another Pakistani X user, Muhammad Ali Tural, shared a post with exactly the same wording. The repetition of identical text across different accounts strongly indicates the use of a prepared toolkit by users from Pakistan and Bangladesh to target CM Yogi Adityanath and spread a specific narrative against him.

What CM Yogi Adityanath Actually Said
A verification of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly proceedings and the original video footage shows that CM Yogi Adityanath made none of the statements attributed to him in the viral clip.
During his address in the Vidhan Sabha, CM Yogi questioned why opposition leaders remain silent when Hindus are killed in countries like Bangladesh and Pakistan, while being quick to condemn incidents that occur elsewhere. He criticised what he described as appeasement politics and stated that the creation of Pakistan and Bangladesh had resulted in the continued persecution of Hindu minorities in those countries.
He also called for a condemnation resolution over the murder of a Hindu man in Bangladesh, Dipu Das, and warned the Bangladesh government to take responsibility for the safety of minorities. In addition to this, CM Yogi spoke about issues within India such as illegal immigration, misuse of Aadhaar, and vote bank politics. At no point did he threaten military action or make aggressive demands toward any foreign country.
AI Manipulation and False Additions
The viral video contains several fabricated elements that were never part of CM Yogi’s real speech. These include references to achieving Akhand Bharat through violence, threats of war, demands for the resignation of the Prime Minister, and calls for assassination or physical harm to Asim Munir.
The tone and language used in the viral clip do not match CM Yogi Adityanath’s actual remarks in the Assembly. The inconsistencies clearly point toward AI-generated manipulation, where false statements were digitally inserted to mislead viewers and provoke outrage.
Motive Behind Spreading This Misinformation
The misinformation campaign driven by Pakistani and Bangladeshi handles appears to be an attempt to divert attention from documented attacks on Hindu minorities in Bangladesh. One such incident involves Dipu Das, a Hindu man who was recently burnt alive in Bangladesh following false allegations of blasphemy.
These incidents have cast a dark shadow on the interim political arrangement led by Muhammad Yunus. By pushing fake videos and framing criticism of Islamist violence as Indian aggression, the focus is shifted away from the real issue of minority persecution.
Such content is designed to silence discussion about human rights abuses in neighbouring countries and portray legitimate concern as hostile intent.
Conclusion
The viral video circulating on social media is fake and generated using AI manipulation. CM Yogi Adityanath did not threaten Bangladesh, did not call for war, did not demand the resignation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and did not issue threats against Asim Munir. None of these claims appear in the original speech delivered in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly.
His remarks were strictly limited to condemning the killing of Hindus, highlighting selective political outrage, and calling for the protection of minorities. The spread of this doctored video is a clear case of misinformation aimed at distorting facts and distracting from serious human rights concerns.
