In a stirring ceremony in Chhattisgarh’s Saraipali, Prabal Pratap Singh Judev washed the feet of 104 people returning to Sanatan Dharma, leading a decisive Ghar Wapsi to protect the nation’s demography

In a significant and spiritually charged event on the soil of Chhattisgarh, a large-scale "Ghar Wapsi" (homecoming) ceremony was witnessed this week. On Thursday (January 15, 2025), the Swami Sumedhanand Vedic Gurukul in Saraipali, located in the Mahasamund district, became the center of a major religious realignment. In what has been described as a remarkable occurrence, 104 individuals belonging to over 50 families chose to return to the Hindu fold, embracing their ancestral faith once again .

The atmosphere at the Gurukul was one of deep reverence and cultural resurgence. The ceremony, organized to formally welcome these individuals back into Sanatan Dharma, was led by Prabal Pratap Singh Judev, the Vice President of the Chhattisgarh BJP unit. Known for his active role as the All India Ghar Wapsi chief, Judev performed the traditional and symbolic gesture of washing the feet of the returnees. This act, steeped in humility and respect, was accompanied by the chanting of ancient Vedic mantras, marking their spiritual reintegration.

Following the ceremony, Prabal Pratap Singh Judev took to social media to publicly document the event and express his strong stance on the region's cultural identity. Sharing a video of the proceedings on the platform X, he stated:
“Chhattisgarh will NEVER be allowed to become Bengal! Yesterday, on the sacred land of Maa Rudreshwari in Saraipali, I had the great fortune of performing the ‘Ghar Wapsi’ (homecoming) of 104 people from several converted families by washing their feet and bringing them back into Sanatan Dharma.”
The event also served as a platform for Judev to voice serious concerns regarding national stability and demographic shifts. Addressing the gathering, he warned that a concerted conspiracy is currently in motion, one that threatens to fundamentally alter the demographic fabric of the nation. He emphasized that this issue transcends local politics and touches upon the integrity of the country itself.
“The conspiracy of religious conversion is changing the entire demography of India. Out of India’s 800 districts, Hindus have already become a minority in 200 districts. This is a serious matter of national security! Nothing is bigger than the country; the country must remain secure. Religious conversion is the biggest threat to the nation. The demographic change of Hindus is a crisis for the country!”

Reaffirming his commitment to this cause, Judev invoked the legacy of his father, the late Kumar Dilip Singh Judev, a revered figure known for his extensive work in similar campaigns. Prabal Pratap pledged to continue this mission as a lifelong duty.
“We are determined that throughout our lives we will carry forward the ‘Ghar Wapsi’ campaign of nation-building started by our revered father Kumar Dilip Singh Judev ji,” he added.
The ceremony was a collaborative effort, jointly organized under the aegis of the Maharshi Dayanand Math Dharmarth Trust and the Swami Sumedhanand Vedic Gurukul in Saraipali, Katangpali. It was held amidst the spiritual backdrop of the five-day ‘Musical Vedic Shriram Katha and World Welfare Mahayagya’, drawing support and participation from the wider Sanatan Dharma community.
